Wittman Tailwind Homebuilt Airplane

Description: This partially completed homebuilt plane shows what an amateur built experimental aircraft looks like underneath. Multiple construction types are used – steel tubing fuselage, wood wings, and composite cowling to name a few. Built from scratch, this airplane will take around 2000 hours to complete, but homebuilt aircraft from a kit can take as little as 500 hours before they're ready for their first flight.
